The Mecca Of Our Desires is an historical narrative by Margaret Clow, first printed in 1914 under the title of 'How I Spent A Fortnight In Kuranda'.

Her account of her holiday in Kuranda in 1913 is one of the first detailed descriptions of the tourist village and surroundings from a visitor's point of view and a most enchanting read. This is a true literary gem of its time.

It was reprinted in 2003 by Ray Langford.
